James Edward Jones

James Edward Jones age 71, of Dierks, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born December 14, 1947 in Nashville, Arkansas the son of the late James C. Jones and Essie Eudy Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired United States Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jones, one brother Jackie Jones, and one sister Kathy Johnson. Survivors include his two brothers David Jones of Lockesburg, AR, Mackie Jones of De Queen, AR; one sister Linda Phelps of Center Point, AR; fiancé Mary Fox and her children John Fox and Kevin Fox all of Dierks, AR; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 11, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 12, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Calvin Parker and Bro. J.W. Gilbert officiating, burial will follow in Sunshine Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
