Jackie Steuart

On Monday, October 29th 2018, Jackie Owens Steuart, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 83. Jackie was born March 31, 1935 in Murfreesboro Arkansas to Rembert and Lucille Owens. She married the love of her life, Bobby Kel Steuart, in January 1956. They raised their pride and joy Alan Steuart, as well as enjoyed their grandchildren Nichole Steuart and Jeremy Steuart. Jackie was an absolute firecracker. She was the most vivacious, loving and straightforward woman you could ever meet and left an incredible impression on everyone she came in contact with. Jackie loved cooking and entertaining and is well known for her salsa, rum cake and oyster dressing (during the holidays). She took pride in her food, and everyone loved enjoying any meal she cooked.Jackie had a flair for style and was always dressed to the nines. She worked at Ace of Diamonds clothing store for over 45 years and made sure anyone that stopped in, left with a smile (and normally a new fashionable look). She was such a positive influence on so many peoples lives, helped raise a lot of the kids, grandkids and great grandkids in Murfreesboro, and was there for anyone that needed a shoulder to cry on or a ear to listen at any hour of the day or night. She was truly a force to be reckoned with, and although you might not like her advice, you always knew you should probably follow it. She is someone that will truly live forever, in each and every soul she touched. Jackie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Rembert and Lucille Owens as well her her loving husband Bobby, who we all know was waiting for her with open arms. She was also preceded in death by her sister Peggy Vaughn. She is survived by her son Alan, grandchildren Nichole and Jeremy, sisters Betty Walls and Pat Morgan as well as multiple cousins, nieces and nephews, and the entire town of Murfreesboro, Arkansas. If it was possible to list everyone she was survived by, it would take miles worth of paper. Visitation will be 11:00 to 12;30, Saturday, November 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro.
