Henry Lee Vaughn

Life is a road that leads from Earth to the sun kissed hilltop. It may be long or short, but it must come to an end. It is well to remember that it takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow, and a little sorrow and sadness sprinkled with a little joy and gladness to make a life, but, oh how beautiful it is when it ends, to hear that sweet voice say “Well Done.”

The Heavenly Father called Henry Lee Vaughn to rest on October 1, 2023 at Christus St. Michael Hospital at 7:50 a.m.

Henry Lee was a very proud man he loved making people laugh. He was born into a legacy of loggers a job that he loved with all of his heart, he worked as a logger for over 60 years.

On May 16, 1966, he married Emily Louise Morrison. To this union, two children were born and with this marriage he gained three bonus children.

His parents, Sallie Green Trotter and Bennie Vaughn proceeded him in death, as well as  his wife Emily Louise Vaughn and two sisters.

Henry Lee will be lovingly remembered by his children Veronica (L.A.) King of McCaskill, AR, Charles A. (Patsy) Vaughn; his bonus children Michael Ester of Mineral Springs, AR, Mary (Timothy) Dailey of Albany, GA, and James Morrison of Columbus, AR; 2 brothers Wilbur (Joycelyn) Trotter and Charles (Dorothy) Vaughn of Columbus, AR, and 3 sisters Gloria D. Phillips of Columbus, AR, Joyce (Otis) Trotter of Texarkana, AR and Thelma (Virgil) Turner of Ashdown, and 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel in Nashville. Interment will follow in Camp Springs Cemetery near Columbus, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
