Helen Sandra Davis

Helen Sandra (Harris) Davis was born on July 15, 1949 in Delight, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Wilmer â�œIkeâ₝ Harris and Nancy Ann Avery Harris. She grew up in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She later lived in Houston, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Fort Smith, Arkansas. She worked in the oil and insurance fields for most of her adult life. She enjoyed gardening and traveling and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and passed away at home with her daughters on August 11, 2011 in Elgin, OK. She is survived by her husband, B. Neil Davis of Hartford, Arkansas; two daughters, Teresa Hickman & Stacey Parsons of New Hope, Arkansas, and Rita Glenn & Jerrod Glenn of Elgin, OK; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Bradley, Chad and Emily of Elgin, OK; three sisters, Wilma Hinds of Murfreesboro, Elaine Kyle and Angela Jones of Hot Springs, one brother, Floyd Harris of Baytown, TX and countless friends and loved ones. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 14, at 2pm at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pisgah, Arkansas and will be officiated by Curtis Abernathy. A viewing will take place from 6-8pm on Saturday, August 13, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.
