Harold Metts, 82, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 26, 1935 in Nashville, Arkansas the son of Frank Robert and Violet Gertrude Hyatt Metts Mr. Metts was a United States Marine Corporal and served on the USS Boxer during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Metts spent 45 years in the trucking industry. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank Metts Jr. Survivors include his wife Virgie Metts of Lenexa, KS; four daughters Rhonda Hyde (Mike) of Overland Park, KS; Marilyn Castro (Joe) of Mission, KS; Kimberley Metts (Paul) of Clayton, NC; and Kathy Goodman (Jake) of Overland Park, KS; one brother Steven Jack Metts (Linda) of Blue Springs, MO; eight grandchildren Jenny, Elizabeth, Sarah, Michael, Grace, Teresa, Jessica, and Jarett; eleven great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and many friends, as well as his ever faithful dog, Finnigan Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the Latimer Funeral Home chapel. Graveside services with Military Honors will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Beaver officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
