Gustena "Gussie" Jester

Gustena “Gussie” Jester, age 97 of McCaskill, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 in Nashville surrounded by her family. She was born on October 8, 1926 to the late Albert Wilson and Nora Lee Slaton Wilson.

Mrs. Jester was a member of the Balls Chapel Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, farmwife and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, especially cookies and pies. She also enjoyed working in her garden and taking care of flowers, particularly her African Violets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Jester, and four siblings, Ruth Parks, Jake Wilson, Fretter Bolt and Ellie Howell.

Survivors include her two sons, Doug (Sharon) Jester and Kevin (Tereasa) Jester; three siblings Cotton Wilson, Jick Wilson and Zetta Crocker; four grandchildren Mike Jester, Tammy Stout, Kaitlyn Jester and Kasey Jester; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Harris Cemetery near McCaskill under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
