Freddie A. Hopkins, 71, of Cowlingsville, AR, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at a Texarkana hospital. He was born August 20, 1938, at Texarkana, AR, the son of the late Harry Thomas and Katherine Moore Hopkins. He was a Navy Veteran; a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a retired Auditor with Truman Arnold Companies. Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Blair and a grandson, Jeremy Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Vida Hopkins of Cowlingsville, AR; two sons, Terry Blair of Cowlingsville, AR and Anthony Hopkins of Cowlingsville, AR; three daughters, Barbara Blair of Cowlingsville, Cindy Hopkins of Texarkana, AR and Paula Hopkins of Texarkana, TX; two sisters, Jean Turner of Texarkana, TX and Margie Hopkins of Lockesburg, AR; fourteen grandchildrens; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 27, at New Prospect Baptist Church, with Bro. Larry Fry officiating, burial in Wrightâ�™s Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
