Faydra Lorean Whitten

Faydra Lorean Stark Whitten, Age 84 of the Bowen Community, passed away on December 9, 2012. She was the 12th child of Joe Albert and Lela (Howell) Stark, born July 14, 1928. She attended Bowen Community Church for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Whitten and daughter, Shirley Petty; brothers, Ferrell Stark, Jack Stark, Frank Stark, and Fletcher Stark; sisters, Bess Stone, Eva Stone, Thelma Jackson, Ruby Whitten, Mattie Deets, Opal Rutledge, Lucy Jester, and Jewel DeWolf. Survivors include: one son, Thomas Whitten and wife Susan of Delight; two daughters, Peggy Belt and husband, Paul of Longview, TX, and Syble Harris and husband, Larry of Delight; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Harris, Dawn Wise, Jeff Harris, Jim Petty, Patrick Belt, Kim McDaniel, Lacy Humphry, Amber Arbuthnott, Brittney Gray, Christa Applegate; 20 great-grandchildren, Jacob Harris, Sierra Petty, J.C. Doss, Sidney Doss, Tara Humphry, Jerrod Ochoa, Hannah Belt, Wess wise, Andrew Wise, Nathan Harris, Alex Harris, Ayden Harris, Tristan Humphry, Autumn Whitten, Zachary Applegate, Thomas Applegate, Kennedy Gray, Landon Arbuthnott, Lilly Arbuthnott, Conner McDaniel; one great great grandchild, October Petty; and one special niece, Cleon King. A host of other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Services will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, Murfreesboro with Todd Reed officiating. Burial to follow at Bowen Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bowen Cemetery Fund.
