Esther L. Amonette

Esther L. Amonette, age 85 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on May 10, 2024 in Nashville. She was born on May 20, 1938 in Ozan to the late Willie A. Arnold and Thelma Mae Jewell.

Mrs. Amonette was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church in Nashville. She loved to cook, drink coffee and live a simple life. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a hard worker and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Edwin Amonette; one granddaughter Brandy Sue Amonette; six siblings, Ray Arnold, Leo J. Arnold, Verna Mae Bratton, D.F. Arnold, Mary Lancaster and Patsy Ann Gray.

Survivors include her four children Mark Edwin (Lillie) Amonette, Dr. J. Fulton (Glynda) Amonette, Stephen Carlton Amonette and Marguerite Michelle (Ronnie) Robinson; one brother Cecil Arnold; one sister Peggy Robinson; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge Nashville Nursing Center for three years of wonderful care given to our Mama E. We also appreciate the tremendous care and affection given to our Mom by Dierksen Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Sherman officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
