Erma Louise "Toodlum, Tooie" Savage

Erma Louise (Dildy) Savage (Toodlum, Tooie) 100 years old, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

 Louise was born August 12, 1924 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Tera and Edward Dildy. Louise was the Chief Operating Officer at Southwestern Bell Telephone for 19 years, retiring after having son Steven.

 Louise was married to Clarence Savage, February 14, 1947.

 Louise was a devoted Christian, a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville and a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.

 Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Savage, two brothers, T.A. “Bub” Dildy, Edward “Ebo” Dildy and one sister, Ruth Putman. She is survived by her 103 year old sister, Ollie Mae Gardner of Texarkana, AR. Louise is also survived by one son, Steven Savage and wife Renee Savage of Tulsa, OK, plus many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

 Louise certainly enjoyed watching sports on TV and listening to sports playing on the radio. Her favorites to watch & listen to were the Arkansas Razorbacks, Nashville Scrappers, and the Dallas Cowboys. Louise loved to play cards, she was a marvelous cook and a part time election worker. If you were ever at her home in the summer, she loved to cool down watermelon and cut it for many to enjoy eating in her backyard.

 Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, at First Baptist Church in Nashville, with Bro. Kevin Sartin officiating, burial will follow in Bluff Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

 The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Nashville Nursing and Rehab Center for their excellent care during her residency at the nursing home. We would also like to thank health care professional, Megan Nelson, Nurse Practitioner, and Dierksen Hospice for comfort care provided by the hospice team.

 Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Nashville, AR.

 Pallbearers will be Gary Mitchell, Jerry Gardner, Jeff Woosley, Rodney Sullivan, Kenneth Wilson, Max Tackett, Douglas “Buddy” Dildy, Gary “Puddin” Dildy
