Emma "Othell" Ward, age 90, of Pike City, AR, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 in Hot Springs, AR. She was born on September 18, 1923 in Oceana, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Arthur Nunnley Youngblood and Odie Ola (Thompson) Youngblood. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She loved word search puzzles, loved to watch game shows, and loved the Gaither Brothers singing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Ward; sisters, Edith Pellow, Ruby Rowland, Nona Jones; and brothers, Keener Youngblood and Clyde Youngblood. Survivors include, four sons, Joe Ward and wife, LaVeda of Magnolia, AR, Floyd "Doc" Ward and wife, Retha of Murfreesboro, Henry Ward and wife, Debbie of Murfreesboro, and Frank Ward and wife, Brenda of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Jane Powledge and husband, Troy of Pike City, and Ellen Ward of Nashville; one sister, Joyce Zills of California; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro with Brother Eric Goble and Brother Verlon Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Pike City Cemetery in Pike City, AR. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
