Emily Joyce Woodruff

Emily Joyce Woodruff, age 91, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at her home in Nashville.  She was born January 11, 1932 in Rector, Arkansas the daughter of the late Bailey Duncan Anderson and Winona Hawkins Anderson.

Mrs. Woodruff was a member of Sunset church of Christ where she also taught Bible classes for many years.  She was a member of several book clubs, a homemaker and enjoyed working along side her family on their family farm.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Young Woodruff, son in law Eugene T. “Bubba” Wallis, one brother John Hawkins Anderson, and her sister Joanne Smith.

Survivors include one son, Tony R. Woodruff and wife, Nita of Scottsdale, AZ; one daughter, Deborah Kaye Wallis of Nashville; five grandchildren, Matthew Heath Wallis and wife, Leanne of Nashville, Anthony J. Woodruff and wife, Melissa of Scottsdale, AZ, Benjamin Chess Wallis and wife, Linzi of Nashville, Daniel Young Woodruff and wife, Jordan of Fayetteville, AR, and Jonathan C. Woodruff and wife Christina of Knoxville, TN; thirteen great-grandchildren, Littleton Young Woodruff, Samuel C. Woodruff, Sullivan H. Woodruff, Bishop H. Woodruff, William Young Woodruff, Isaac W. Woodruff, Maggie Kate Woodruff, Emily Ann Wallis, John Benjamin Wallis, Ellison Rose Wallis, Luke Hawkins Wallis, Emory Kaye Wallis, and Eden Joyce Wallis. She also had many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Karon Baxley officiating, burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
