Edith Shirley Harper, age 83, of Nashville, AR, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Mine Creek Healthcare. she was born Saturday, February 27, 1926 in Blackland Township, AR, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Shirley Blackwood. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Buster Harper; one son: Eli Austin Harper, Jr.;Three Brothers: William Blackwood, Joseph Arlie Blackwood, Jr., and Reeder Jones; and three Sisters: Marie Burkhart, Mattie Dowling, and Oleta Cornish. Survivors include ; One Son: Jimmy Mitchell, Paden, OK ; One Daughter: Shirley Byers and husband Zane of Nashville, AR One Sister: Ruby Morris, Springdale, AR and; six grandchildren: Scott Mitchell, Fayetteville, AR, Lori Byers of Nashville, Kimberly Smith of Nashville, Missy White of Nashville, Joey Byers of Nashville, and Jason Mitchell of Elkins, AR; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and relatives.
