(Turner) Cooper; and a host of beloved family and friends.
Doug graduated from DeQueen High School as a Leopard but attended Murfreesboro High School in his 10th grade year where he met his future wife, Debbie. After graduating on Friday night, he married his high school sweetheart two days later on Sunday afternoon, May 25,1975.
They both attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and after starting their young family, they left Arkansas to travel the world, living in Alaska, Colorado, Florida and returning to Arkansas to retire – where Doug continued to travel in their RV with Debbie and the fur babies and remained a diehard Razorback fan his entire life.
Doug loved to grow and tend to his tropicana roses and had a knack for growing them wherever they lived. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved to work on and attend Antique & Classic Car shows and NASCAR races. He appreciated all genre of music, and they would travel to all types of musical concerts from Pink Floyd to John Fogerty to Bluegrass Festivals, and he was always up for 18 holes of golf and tried to find time to play all over the world and anywhere they traveled.
But the one thing that Doug loved most in his life was his family. His son, his granddaughter and his wife were the most important people in the world to him. They were his life, and he loved nothing more than having a houseful of family and friends.
