Douglas Newton, age 60, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at his home in Nashville, Arkansas. He was born October 1, 1963 the son of the late Dewey Carl Newton and Linda Bailey Powell.
Mr. Newton was a shop foreman for Southern Fab in Nashville. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and just sitting outside and watching for deer. But most important he loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Callie King and his mother in law Ann Parmenter.
Survivors include his wife Cindy Newton of Nashville; one son Justin Newton and Misty of Nashville; one daughter Candase King and husband Josh of Medina, TN; brothers Dewayne Clark, Allen Clark, Tony Clark; two sisters Lera Hartoon and Sallie Edwards; as well as his five grandchildren Cantley, Charlie, Dylan, Eric, and Jolee.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Bobby Neal officiating, burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
