Dorthey Johnson

Dorthey Moye Johnson, age 78, of Texarkana, Texas died, Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home. She was born April 3, 1934 in Potter County, Texas the daughter of the late Andrew Bruce and Zora Wallington Moye. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hooks, Texas. She was a school teacher in the public school system for both Texas and Arkansas and had a Masters degree , where she taught home economics, and was a counselor for over twenty-five years. Survivors include one daughter; TaJuana Wright Pillow and husband Glenn of Texarkana, Texas; a sister LaVaughn Moye of Hooks, Texas. Grandma Dot as she was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren include one grandson Todd O�Keefe of Texarkana, Texas; one granddaughter Trista Arnold and husband Brandon of Nashville, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren Haley, Hunter, Christopher, Mattison, Maddox, Maddon, and Mack who all cherish the legacy that she leaves behind. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 14 at the Queen City Cemetery, with Bro. Roy Ford officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, Arkansas.
