Dorothy Partain

Dorothy Partain, age 87, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, died on Friday, May 13, 2022 at her home in Murfreesboro.  She was born August 14, 1934 in Glenwood, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Ottis Kennedy Sr. and Carrie Wisener Kennedy.

Mrs. Partain was a teacher and taught for many years at area schools.  She was very active in the Pike County Archive Association and loved studying genealogy and traveling with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband R.J. Partain, four brothers: Royston, Gilbert, Lewis “Bud” and Charles Kennedy; one sister Jane Ann Kennedy.

Survivors include one son John Partain and wife Judy of Dierks, AR; one daughter Nancy Synco of Murfreesboro, AR; one brother Donald Kennedy of Murfreesboro, AR; grandchildren J.J. and Stephanie Reese, Chad and Courtney Klitz, Chelsey and Austin Pfeiffer, Dani, Alli, and Geoffery Synco; five great grandchildren Kailynn, Maddi, Paxson, Sydney, and Beau, as well as a number of nieces and nephews that she loved.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with burial to follow in County Line Cemetery in Glenwood, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
