Dorothy Susanne “Dottie” Smith, age 66, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born October 9, 1958, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Denzel Hale and Joyce Simmons Hale.
Dottie was a member of Saline church of Christ. She served the community for many years as a florist at her shop, the December Rose. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dottie also enjoyed gardening and crafting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joshua Turner; sister Cathy Hale, grandson Gabriel Turner; and her husband Michael Wayne Smith.
Survivors include two daughters Heather Grabin and Ashli Walker; grandchildren Emmaline Walker, Lindsey Myrkle, Abigail Gardner; great grandchildren Asher Baugher, Rosa Jackson, Gracen Gardner, and Marley Gardner; one brother David Hale; as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, at Saline church of Christ, with Rob Evans officiating, burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Pallbearers will be R.D. Carter, Colton Carter, Austin Myrkle, Blake Gardner, Christopher Conatser
Honorary pallbearers will be Asher Baugher, Bill Flaherty, and Charles Baugher
