Darrell Dwayne Golden

Darrell Dwayne Golden, 83 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1940 in Athens, Arkansas to Kelly Golden and Gladys James Golden.

Mr. Golden was schooled in Athens and Umpire Schools. He was a member of the US Army Reserves and graduated from Henderson State University. He was self-employed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, infant brother Dale Loyd Golden and Royce Wayne Golden.

Survivors include his two sisters, Linda Golden of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Patricia (Kenny) Maxwell of Benton, Arkansas; two nephews, David Golden of Washington D.C. and Michael Golden of Texas; two nieces, Christy Mars of Germantown, Tennessee and Allison Everhart of Bryant, Arkansas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the care givers for their help and advice.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Athens Cemetery, with Buddy Ray officiating. Services are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
