Connie Dougan went to be with her Lord and Saviour Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Bray and Darlene Teater Bray; one son, Hunter Britt; two sisters, Gwen Whitten and Gail Marshall; and two Brothers, Frank Whaley & David Bray. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Walter Dale Dougan, two daughters, Courtly Dougan of Nashville, AR and Jackie Dougan Trusty (Toby) of Washington, AR; four sons, Heath Britt (Jennifer) of Nashville, AR, Eric Britt (Dakota) of Hatfield, AR, Chris Dougan of Texarkana, AR, Bryan Dougan of Nashville, AR; the loves of her life: her 16 grandchildren: Alexa, Grace, and Taylor Britt of Tampa, FL, Christian and Megan Britt of Nashville, AR, Jaycee, Caylee, and Aimee Britt of Hatfield, AR, J.J. Stegal of Lockesburg, AR, Lance and Alex Britt, Cameron and Bailey Dougan of Nashville, AR, Gabi and Kason Dougan of Nashville, AR, Isabella Trusty of Washington, AR.; two sisters, Cindy Grady of Nashville, AR, and Kim Lloyd (Ricky) of Dierks, AR; two brothers, Robert Bray (Cindy) of Dierks, AR, and Don Bray (Gay) of Dierks, AR; brother-in law, Tom Marshall of Elk City, OK, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Connie had many accomplishments including being sworn in as the First woman on the City Council of Dierks, AR. She was born in Perryton, TX on September 16, 1949. Connie was a loyal worker for Husqvarna and retired in 2012. She was very active in her church (Cross Point Cowboy Church) and in the Howard County 4-H. She lived and fought with more courage, tenacity, honor, love, and forgiveness than any other person this family has ever known. She brought a broken, mismatched family together and created family bonds that can never be broken again. There are no words to express how much she is loved and will be missed. Visitation will be Friday April 29, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, AR. Services will be Saturday April 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don Jones and Brother Brian Adair officiating.
