Cliff Melton Womack, age 82, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas died on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville. He was born April 19, 1939 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas the son of the late Herman and Inez Willett Womack.
Mr. Womack was a member of the Pleasant Home Church of Christ. He was drafted in the United States Army in 1962 and drove a bus and was honorably discharged after six years, then reenlisted with the Air Force Reserves and was the Chief Loadmaster for the C-130 cargo planes from 1980 and retired as Master Sargent in 1999. During his career Cliff served as an EMT for Howard Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Daniel Stone.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Janice Self Womack; two daughters Selina Russell and Starla Womack; one grandson Dusty Stone, one granddaughter Courtney Rather; two great grandchildren Layne and Addie Cox all of Murfreesboro; one sister Sonia Gonzales of Irving, TX; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, at Pleasant Home Church of Christ, with Robert Womack officiating, burial to follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Home Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 120 Murfreesboro, AR. 71958
