Cleatis Jo McCauley, age 70, went to her heavenly home on Monday, April 29th 2024 at Dierks Rehab and Nursing. She was born on February 15, 1954 to the late William Bailey McCauley and Bobbie McCauley Stephens
Preceding her in death are three sisters, Tessie Pearl Bennett , Peggy Sue Lovewell, Linda Kay Ellis, one brother in law, Willie Ellis, and one nephew Robert Wayne Ellis.
To carry on her memories, she leaves behind, one daughter, Venus Hill, husband Brian, one sister, Patricia McCauley, two grand-daughters, Patience Hicks, Chei Pounds, husband Zach, four great-grandchildren, Hadley Pounds, Lok Hicks, Stella Pounds, baby boy Pounds to come, two nieces, Brandy Vaughn, husband Shane, Candy Cox, husband Chris, three nephews, Brandon Ellis, wife Brenda, Justin Crabtree, wife Jessie, Matthew Crabtree, wife Brittany, and numerous great nieces and nephews as well as a great-great niece.
Cleatis loved and was loved by many, but three in particular held a special place in her heart, Terry and Shelley Murphy, as well as, Austin Propps, her adopted grandson.
Cleatis, also known as Memaw, Tula, and Cleta, was a firecracker and was one of the most strong willed people you would ever meet, and she will be loved and missed by many.
Pallbearers: Brandon Ellis, Charlie Morrow, Justin Crabtree, Matthew Crabtree, Braden Nutt, and Justin Kilcrease.
Visitation will be 1:00 until service time, Thursday, May 2, at Trinity Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, at Trinity Baptist Church, with Bro. Curtis Abernathy and Bro. John David Watson officiating, burial will follow in County Line Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
