Clarence Elmer Oldner

August 4, 1936 — September 4, 2024

Humble, Texas

Clarence Elmer Oldner, age 88, of Humble, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Humble, Texas. He was born August 4, 1936 in Tokio, Arkansas the son of the late Noah Oldner and Cora Hood Oldner.

Clarence was known as "Sambo" to all his friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Clarence worked on the roads of Arkansas before heading to Houston with Ruthie to become a family man and machinist. There he excelled in his trade to become his own boss and CO Machine Works was born. He worked many long hours standing behind those machines, and took great pride in every measure he made. Sambo also enjoyed his farm in Arkansas, he loved his cows and again he took great pride in what most would consider work, mowing the pastures and repairing fence lines - because he always knew what had to be done and he did it, until he could no longer. The pastures always looked beautiful and he loved taking the grandchildren and great-grandchildren on tractor rides. Sambo suffered from dementia/Alzheimer's for the last nine years of his life, taking away more of him with each passing day. And although there is grief today as we say goodbye, we are grateful for the privilege of having had him in our lives. We Love You!

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruthie Jean Oldner; daughter Sandra Oldner; four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include Daughter, Sharon Frazier; Sons, Timothy Oldner and David Oldner (Shana). Seven grandchildren: Heather (Revell) Walker (Chris); Joshua Revell (Amy); Jason Frazier (April); Tony Frazier; Courtney, Savannah and Evan Oldner. Six great-grandchildren: Zachary (Sydney), Kelsey, Avery Walker; Josie, Drake, Reef Revell; Brothers: William Arthur Oldner and Charles Hansford Oldner. Many nieces and nephews.
