Clarence Marshall

Clarence Marshall, born on January 14, 1928 in Parkersburg, W. Virginia to the late Noble Marshall and Lula Lowther Marshall, and died on November 5, 2013 in a Nashville hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Marshall of Nashville and Harold Marshall and sister-in-law, Ila Marshall both formerly of Nashville. He leaves behind his wife, Edna Marshall of 54 years; sister-in-law, Phyllis Marshall; he married Violet Putman in 1950 and has five children, Dwain and Bonnie Marshall of Lawton, OK, Vada Ingram of Vienna, W. Virginia, Stephanie and John Mullins of Corbin, KY, Sharon and Russel Ryan of Marietta, OH, and Janet and Steve Francis of Parkersburg, W.Virginia. He married Edna Whitney in 1959 and has four children, Nadine and Randy Fontaine of Council Bluffs, IO, Chip Marshall of Nashville, Sheila and Yancey Stone of Nashville, and Daniel Marshall of Brunswick, GA.; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several special nieces and nephews. He was a man who believed in working hard and helping people. He was owner of Central Auto Sales in W. Virginia before coming to Arkansas, also Boots and Shoes Western Store in Charleston, AR. He was a farmer for many years in Nashville, before his health failed him, and he loved his dogs. He was a member of Bingen United Methodist Church in Bingen, AR; and served in Japan in 1946 in WWII. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Ozan Cemetery in Bingen with Brother Don Jones officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
