Clara Ruth Smithson

Clara Ruth Smithson, 83, of Murfreesboro, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Murfreesboro. She was born on May 19, 1929 in Rome, GA, the daughter of the late George Thurman Hanks and Nora Loveless Hanks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Smithson; and four sisters, Willie Hardin, Mattie Lou Roe, Lorraine Hawkins, and Floyce Louise Richardson. She is survived by one son, Dennis Smithson and wife, Shirley of Murfreesboro; two granddaughters, Amanda Smithson and Carley Smithson, both of Murfreesboro; one brother, George T. Hanks, Jr. of Chelsea, AL; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at County Line Cemetery in Nashville with Brother Rick Greene and Rob Evans officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
