Christine Collins

Christine Collins, age 89, of Murfreesboro, died on Friday, November 5, 2010 in Murfreesboro, AR. She was born on October 19, 1921 in Highland, AR, the daughter of the late Newport and Ida Mae (Lingo) Floyd. Mrs. Collins was a hairdresser for many years at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, AR and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, AR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Collins; one great grandson; one niece; one brother, Joe Paul Floyd; and three sisters, Willie Stone, Georgia Porter, and Maydean Gregory. Survivors include: one daughter, Helen Birmingham of Ashdown, AR; one sister, Wanda Sweeden of Murfreesboro, AR; two granddaughters, Toni Lynn Cobb and Pam Schon, both of Ashdown; 5 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Biggs Chapel Cemetery in Nathan, AR with Brother Al Terrell officiating. under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro, AR.
