Chester Gage

Chester Wesley Gage of Laurel, Maryland died January 7, 2017. He was born December 25, 1923 at Peeksill, Westchester County, New York, the first child of Edward Royal Gage and Clara Ellen Barger. He married Oleva Blevins White of Glenwood, Arkansas January 15, 1947 at Vancouver, Washington, she the daughter of James Henry White and Lucy Ellen Lamb. Chester is survived by a daughter Ruth Gage Cooper of Maryland, a step-daughter Wanda Lue Sweeden of Murfreesboro and a step-son Malvern Ray Cook of Kirby; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his father, mother, and wife, Chester was pre-deceased by three brothers, two sisters, a son Chester Jr., a granddaughter Jennifer Christie Gage and a grandson Rodney Jay Cook. Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 14, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Tommy Mounts officiating burial to follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 13, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro.
