Charlie Abner Brown

Charlie Abner Brown, 82, of Murfreesboro, AR, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 1:35 PM in Texarkana, TX. He was born on August 30, 1930 in Murfreesboro, the son of the late, Ira Brown and Ina (Henderson) Brown. Mr. Brown was a truck driver and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Murfreesboro and later Glenwood. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro and also an avid football fan. He was the recent recipient of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce 2012 Golden Treasure Award. But out of all he achieved in his life, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the most important. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, April Kuykendall; one great grandson, Colton Kuykendall; one brother, Jimmy Brown and one sister, Katie Jo Smith. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nora Brown of Murfreesboro; two sons, Charles W. Brown and wife, Cindi of Belton, TX, and Ricky Brown and wife, Annette of Maud, Tx; one daughter, Debbie Holden and husband, David of Nashville; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro with Brother Rick Green and Brother Bob James officiating.
