Charles Hubert Coleman, 75, of Mineral Springs, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2013 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on December 25, 1937 in Hope, AR, the son of the late Charlie Floyd Coleman and Bethie (Black) Coleman. When he was younger, Charles was a member of the Mineral Springs Fire Department and the Howard County Search and Rescue. He was a member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, where he was known as the Candyman to all the youth. Above all things, he was a loving Papaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Edna Griffin. Survivors include, his wife of 47 years, Patricia Coleman of Mineral Springs; 3 children, Cheryl Roberts and husband, Floyd of Nashville, Christie Hanney and husband, Michael of Nashville, and Charlie Coleman and wife, Mary of Nashville; 4 grandchildren, Zach Roberts and Seth Roberts both of Nashville, and Katilynn Hanney and Wyatt Hanney both of Nashville. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends mourn his passing. Services will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville with Bro David Raulerson and Bro James Honeycutt officiating.
