Charles Joseph Bufkin

Charles Joseph Bufkin Sr. age 74 passed away peacefully in his home on June 26, 2017. He was born in Columbia, Mississippi on May 15, 1943, to Sidney and Mabel Bufkin and later moved to Hattisburg, Mississippi where he graduated high school. He was an amazing husband of 50 years, brother, father, grandpa, and great grandpa to his loving family. His passion was his family and sports. He enjoyed playing football and baseball in his early years which led him to be a great role model and coach to his children and grandchildren. He is not only known for his athletic and coaching abilities but also for his humor, donuts, and life advice. His loved ones he left behind are his wife Karen Bufkin; sister Mary Elizabeth Thompson; three children Joey Bufkin, Tina Bufkin, Timmy Bufkin; six grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. We will carry a special piece of him with us wherever we go. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family.
