Candace Ann Jamison was born in Nashville on November 26, 1953, to the late Billy and Eileen Jamison. She graduated from Nashville High School and was an active member of the Howard County Children’s Center for many years.
She was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.
Candy loved to journal and started each entry with “hello there”! And often showcased her talent of writing backwards. Her life was full of simple pleasures. She enjoyed rocking babies and the occasional stuffed animal. Dressing up wasn’t just set aside for Halloween, Candy loved a good costume. Most of her days were spent in her recliner, watching Gone With The Wind and pretending to be Scarlett O’Hare. A shopping trip always consisted of a T-shirt and she had MANY. Sharing her T-shirt collection was off limits. Her family often teased her and played the occasional jokes and Candy loved it!
Although her life was simple, her love was big, her words were kind, her thoughts were pure, and her laugh was joyful. She was the sweetest soul this side of heaven!
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Jamison and a sister, Caroline Jamison.
Survivors include her younger siblings Suzy Pounds (Ronny), Becky Hosey (late husband , Ken) all of Nashville, a brother John Paul Jamison of Fort Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18th at Mt Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
