Burel "John" Cass

Burel "John" Cass, 83, of Mineral Springs, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 in Mineral Springs. He was born on January 17, 1931 in Turkey, TX the son of the late Carroll Cass and Burley Clanton Cass. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Herman, Roy, Carl, Bobby, Dorothy, Becky, and Mary Jane. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Beasley Cass of Mineral Springs; one son, Chuck Bryant, and wife, Judy of Farmington, MN; two daughters, Felicia Merrell and husband, Troy of Nashville, AR, and Johnna Peek and husband, David of Nashville; one sister, Grace Byrom; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Memorial service will be on Friday, July 24, 2015 in Latimer Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 PM.
