Boyd Thomas

Boyd Thomas, 67, of Nashville, Arkansas, died on Sunday March 9, 2014 in Nashville. He was born on January 28, 1947 in Nashville, the son of the late Brooks Thomas and Hoyle and Edith Erwin. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Nashville, the Wildman Hunting Club and was the Parts Manager at York Gary Autoplex for over 40 years. He was a 6 year Army Reservist in the 95th division light infantry, and he loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Thomas, a son Jeffery Boyd Thomas; a sister Billie Smith; and one brother, Marc Thomas. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Wakefield and husband Eric of Nashville, AR; and Tonya Garcia and husband, Rory of Lawton, OK; one brother, Zane Thomas and wife, Josie of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Tarah, Steven, Dustin, Cade, Chloe, Ava, and Morgan; five great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Steel, Macey, Lincoln, and Marlee; three sisters, Dawanda Schwope, Theresa Humphry, and Ramona Sullivan; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday March 11, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Latimer Funeral Home chapel in Nashville, Arkansas. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at the funeral home chapel, with Bro. David Blasé officiating.
