Bobby R.Cook, age 75, of Murfreesboro, died on August 22, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 26, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, the son of the late Fred and Lillie Bell (Davis) Cook. Bob was a Police officer with the Murfreesboro Police Dept., was an army veteran, and member of the Masonic Lodge in Royse City, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Cook; daughter, Terri Martin; two brothers, Calvert Cook and Davey Lane Hutchinson; one sister, Sue Hoyle; and one nephew, Russell Gowdy. Survivors include his significant other, Janie Adams of Murfreesboro, AR; two sons, Richard Cook and daughter-in-law, Vicki of Rowlett, TX and Bobby Ray Cook, Jr. of Royse City, TX; one daughter, Beverly Posey and son-in-law, Randy of Murfreesboro, AR; step son, Kenny and Shawn Mashburn of Searcy, AR; two brothers, Frank Hutchinson and Dannis Cook, both of TX; four sisters, Shirley Gowdy, Kay Nagel, Joy Grulich, and Joie Holder all of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A host of relatives and friends mourn his passing. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Brother Al Terrell officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hickory Grove Cemetery Fund.
