Billye Copeland Hale, 81 of Billstown, Arkansas passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 at her home. She was born on May 31, 1932 in Billstown, Arkansas the daughter of the late Willie and Nobie Miller Copeland. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and a secretary for the Vaughn Creek Hunting Club. As a young woman she was a model for Neiman Marcus Clothing. She traveled the world going to Europe and Africa, she attended SMU in Dallas, TX. She retired in Billstown, the place of her birth, in 1976. Her hobbies included hunting, trout fishing, gardening, and raising animals. At one time she had eighteen hunting Walker hounds, four goats, eight peacocks, two turkeys and ten guineas. Her favorite times were four wheeling with her kids, fellow deer hunters, and enjoying her grandchildren Survivors include a son Gary E. Lockwood and wife Lana of Gun Barrel City, TX; a daughter Diane Ketcherside of Dover, AR; one brother Ralph Copeland of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, her companion John Lamb of Billstown, AR. Two step children Billy Hale and wife Chue of Alabama and Terry Hale of Ohio. As well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Tommy Mounts officiating, burial will follow in Billstown Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
