Betty Sue (Lewis) Thomasson, age 84, died February 11th at her home in Little Rock after a brief illness. She was born to Alwin and Fannie Lewis in Wilton, Arkansas on October 26, 1929, three days ahead of the Great Depression. Growing up in those days prior to World War II forged her traits of independence, frugality, self-reliance and personal responsibility. She graduated from Ashdown High School and attended Henderson State College where she met her future husband, Lloyd Thomasson. She and Lloyd settled in Little Rock where he worked for National Old Line Insurance Company. In later years, they worked together in two family-owned businesses. Lloyd died in 1994. She is survived by a brother, Allen (Joyce) Lewis of Hot Springs; two sons, Bruce (Carol) Thomasson of Maumelle, and Kenneth (Lynn) Thomasson of Arlington, Texas. Additionally she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Melanie (Jon) Goodell of Little Rock, Grace Thomasson of Maumelle and Nicholas Thomasson of Arlington, Texas; and great-grandchildren Tristan and Eleanor Goodell of Little Rock. She will be laid to rest in a graveside service in Nashville, Arkansas on February 15 at 11:00 am under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
