Betty L. Smith

Betty L. Smith, age 87, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She was born November 29, 1937 in Medaryville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Dallas Pointon and Velma Fain Pointon.

Mrs. Smith was a loving lady who was a mom to all. She helped raise her grands and great grandchildren. Betty loved being outside gardening or painting her home over and over again.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Nathaniel Smith and her daughter Lou Ann Chandler.

Survivors include one son Bruce Smith of Murfreesboro, AR; one brother Sam Pointon of Roy, AR; five grandchildren Allen Moncus, Jeremy Smith, Krystal Moncus, Tim Smith, and Brian Smith; several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Cremation services will follow under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
