Beryl Wayne Chisum beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord October 5, 2009 at St. Joseph�s Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born December 21, 1922 the son of the late J.B. and Jimmy Effie Chisum. Mr. Chisum was preceded in death by a sister Ethel Solomon, a brother Garland Chisum and one grandson, Jonathan Blaine Chisum. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Ena J. Chisum, of Baton Rouge, LA; a son Gail L. Chisum and wife, Fran of St. Francisville, LA; two daughters Annette Giese and husband, Steve of Alburquerque, NM; and Jackie Griffin and husband, Richard of Birmingham, AL; one sister Catherine Davidson, of Denton, TX; and a brother Harold Chisum, of Collinsville, OK; Mr. Chisum was blessed with six grandchildren, Amy Chisum Spillman, Candice Griffin, Ashley Tribulak Robinson, Matthew Griffin, Whitney Tribulak, and Sam Griffin. He is also survived by five great grandchildren. Mr. Chisum completed commercial pilot training and entered the Army Air Corp as a Pilot in 1944 serving in Japan during the Korean War. A native of Oklahoma, he graduated from Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in Stillwater, OK in 1956. After graduating from college, Mr. Chisum worked with the National Weather Service for 25 years as Lead Forecaster until his retirement in 1984. He was well known for his hobby as a skilled craftsman. A devoted Christian, Mr. Chisum served as deacon at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, AR. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 7, from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M., at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M., Thursday, October 8 at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, with burial to follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery.
