Berna Dean Ray, 87, of Saratoga, AR, died Thursday, December 7, 2011. She was born January 9, 1924, at Ada, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late James Blaine and Mamie Lucille Brown Gray. She was a member of Community Baptist Church at Okay, AR She was a beloved woman with great compassion and life values. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther F. â�œNigâ₝ Ray, son, James Blaine Ray, two sisters, Jeannie Boyd and Edna Pearl Gray; a dear friend, Dale Harkins. Mrs. Ray is survived by two daughters, Shirley Stanley of Texarkana, AR and Peggy Hall of Saratoga, AR; two brothers, Robert L. Gray and wife, Pat of Saratoga, AR and James R. Gray and wife, Doris of Saratoga, AR; three sisters ,Lucille Hardin of Saratoga, AR, Louise Drouillard of Saratoga, AR and Linda Jones of Nashville, AR; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a number of nephews and nieces; a host of friends; and beloved dogs and cats. Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Bros. Arlis Ogelsby and Archie Phillips officiating, burial in Saratoga Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
