Barbara Inez Wimberly

Barbara Inez Wimberly, 87, from Houston, Texas but recently a resident of Delight, Ar. as of April 2023 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was born in Bay City, TX. September 19, 1936 the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Grace Townsend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Karen in 2010.

She married Don Wimberly July 3, 1956

Barbara is survived by her daughter. LaDonna and husband Steve Campbell of Delight, AR., two sons, Joe Wimberly and Jeff Wimberly both of Houston, Tx. One brother, Albert Townsend and wife Diana of League City, TX., Seven Grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Barbara was mostly a stay at home mom when her children were young. As they were older, she worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to paint and was quite good at it. She loved to crochet, go camping, fishing, crabbing, music (especially hearing Billstown), dancing, playing bingo and game shows. Times with her family and friends were her favorite. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She was a beautiful lady inside and out!
