Arliss Leo Archer

Arliss Leo Archer, Sr., 82, of Saratoga, Arkansas, died on January 4, 2012 in Saratoga. He was born on March 7, 1929 in Patmos, AR, the son of the late Calvin and Georgina (Powell) Archer. Mr. Archer was an electrical mechanical engineer for Okay Cement plant for 43 years and member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Patmos. He was preceded in death by one son, Leo Archer; one daughter, Corliss Lamb; and two brothers, Hoyt Archer and Arlin Archer. Survivors include his wife, Brigitte (Nierig) Archer of Saratoga; one son, Chuck Archer and wife, Marcella of Sherwood, AR; two daughters, Karin Archer of Royal, AR, and Anja Mullin and husband, Jerry of Saratoga, AR; two stepdaughters, Denise LaBeff and Debbie Darnell; two stepbrothers, Royce Rogers of Hope, AR, and Darrell Rogers of Patmos, AR; two sisters, Mozell Rider and husband, Warren of Cotton Valley, LA, and Eva Verdell Betts of Minden, LA; and two sister-in-laws, Lona Archer and Effie Archer, both of Hope, AR; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Brother Bruce Porter officiating. Burial to follow in Saratoga Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
