Alton Parson

Alton Parson, 70, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Nashville. He was born on January 15, 1944 in Prescott, AR, the son of the late Jewell Parsons and Lois (Hartness) Parsons King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Beedie King and stepbrother, Jim King. Survivors include his wife Laveda Parson of Ashdown, AR; two sons, Alan Parson and wife, Catrina of Nashville and Ryan Parson and wife, Katie of Little Rock; two daughters, Annette Fay and husband, Patrick of Vilonia, AR and Rena Koon and husband, Brooks of Mabelvale, AR; four stepchildren, Susan Dancer of Fouke, Misty Porter, Marcia Mitchell, and Scott Porter all of Ashdown; two sisters, Ima Semmler of Mineral Springs, and Wilma Bowden and husband, Jerry of Nashville; one half brother, Calvin Parsons of Pennsylvania; one half sister, Rhoda Small of Hope; one step sister, Doris Sillivan of Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; and 3 step great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Minersl Springs Cemetery with Brother Don Embry of Ashdown and Brother Tim Freel officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
