Alta Flemens Dowdle, age 64, of Delight, Arkansas, formerly of Mena, AR passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Hot Springs, AR. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bob Dowdle of Delight; one sister, Betty Alexander of Dierks, AR; one brother, Dewey Ralls and wife, Shirley of DeQueen, AR; three daughters, Shane Dowdle of Delight, DeAnn Ellis and husband, Allen and Jovan Thomas and husband, Michael both of Mena, AR; one son, Jerry Flemens and wife, Liz of Mena; grandchildren, Josh Bates, Chelsi Schoeppey, Madi Ellis, Evelynn Ellis, Jared Flemens, Rilee Flemens, Jacob Flemens, Alexandria Yang, Logan Yang, Tiffany and Tyler Simpson; two great-grandchildren, Easton Schoeppey and Maybree Bates all of Mena; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelious and Lela Ralls, and her late husband, Jim Flemens. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro with Vernon Woods officiating. Burial to follow in Athens cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
