Alice Faye Beavers, age 62, of Nashville, AR, died on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at her residence in Nashville. She was born on March 28, 1950 in Nashville, the daughter of the late David Kay and Gertrude (Ponder) Anderson. Alice was a Special Ed Teacher first in Lake Village Middle school and later at Nashville Elementary school. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville, and taught the Bozeman Class, which was the oldest ladies class at First Baptist. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, David Kay Anderson, Jr. Survivors include her foster son, Ja-Karee Gaines of Nashville; two nephews, Michael Anderson of Hot Springs, and Aaron Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Anderson Kelly of Little Rock; and numerous cousins and other relatives. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Blase and Brother Billy Dawson officiating. Burial to follow at Ozan Cemetery in Bingen under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ja-Karee Gaines scholarship fund at Regions Bank.
