Mr. Alfred D. Anderson, 63, of Nashville, Arkansas, departed this life on October 1, 2014 at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, TX. He was born on December 1, 1950 in Nashville, the son of the late Reecy Anderson and Fannie Lucille (Briggs) Anderson. He attended Childress High School. He loved to travel from state to state shooting pool, and fishing. He worked for J.T. Crisp catching chickens, Reeder Masonry and Chimney Sweep and Tyson Foods. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Lee Tatum, Henry Lee Anderson, Archie Lee, and KC Anderson; and five sisters, Rubie Lee Anderson, Jaqlyn Anderson, Mattie Hawkins, Inoa Harris, and Gloria Houston. Survivors include three brothers, JC Anderson of Hope, Reecy Anderson, Jr. of Nashville, and Leon (Jackie) Anderson of Texarkana, AR; four sisters, Earnestine McFall and Verdia Anderson both of Oakland, CA, Jerline (Roy) Davis of Mineral Springs, AR, and Gladys Anderson of Bronx, New York; one uncle, James (Mattie) Briggs of Nashville, AR; one aunt, Rosa (Bob) Lord of Peoria, AZ; one brother-in-law, James Houston of Pine Bluff, AR; one special friend, Willie Mae Nunaly; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also mourn his passing. Services will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, AR. Burial to follow in Sunset Gardens in Nashville under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
