Nancy Angeline Harris

Nancy Angeline Harris, 87 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, better known to her family and loved ones as â�œAnnieâ₝ went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at an Arkadelphia nursing center. She was born January 27, 1924 the daughter of the late Milton Lee and Virginia Etta Jones Avery. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in Pike County, in the Pisgah community south of Delight and in Murfreesboro. She married Wilmer â�œIkeâ₝ Harris in 1940 and worked at home and on their poultry farm, where they raised a family of five children. She was devoted and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to garden, quilt and was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years Wilmer â�œIkeâ₝ Harris; two brothers Braxton and J.D. Avery and two sisters Nora Adams and Flora Rogers. Survivors include one son Floyd W. Harris and wife Elaine of Baytown, TX; four daughters Wilma Hinds and Harold of Murfreesboro, AR; Helen Davis and Neal of Hartford, AR; Elaine Kyle and Walt of Hot Springs, AR; and Angela â�œDottieâ₝ Jones of Hot Springs, AR; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great- great- grandchild Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 8, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pisgah, with Bro. Keith Rowton officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, March 7, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Memorials may me made to the Pisgah Cemetery Fund.
