Leona Pearl Laurent

Leona Pearl Laurent, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on September 17, 1922 in Center Point, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Seborn Elexander and Maggie Pearl (Ames) Perkins. She was a housewife and member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Laurent. She is survived by her sons and their families. Olen and Vicki Laurent of Belmont, MI; Glen and Jan Laurent of Goshen, AR; Jerry and Pauline Laurent of Murfreesboro, AR; Bervin and Sylvia Laurent of Murfreesboro, AR; Harold and Josie Laurent, of Little Rock, AR; and Herman and Nancy Laurent of Fayetteville, AR, she is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 29, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas with Brother Bob James officiating. Burial will follow at College Hill Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Arkansas under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro, Arkansas.
